A) What to say :

i) Tell me about your qualifications.

ii) Talk about work experience.

B) What not to say :

i) How good you are as a person

ii) How is your friend circle

2. Why have you chosen this college?

A) What to say :

i) Give positive answers about the fame of college, location, quality of education

B) What not to say :

i) Don’t say it is offered by the consultant

ii) Don’t say your friend is in the same college/university

3. What other colleges have you applied for

A) What to say :

i) You can tell about other colleges to which you have applied. But make sure it's about the same program. It will show that you are dedicated to that program.

B) What not to say :

i) Don’t tell that you have applied for different programs in different colleges/universities.

4. Discussion on the academic score: They discuss your college score and other certifications

A) What to say :

i) Tell them briefly about passing year and percentage of your qualifying exam (E.g. your 12th or graduation)

ii) Give accurate information

iii) Inform about any certifications you hold which are relevant to the course you are applying for.

B) What not to say :

i) Don’t talk about Certifications that are not related to your studies/profession ( e.g. Blood donation certificate, NCC certificate, extra-curricular activities certificate)

ii) Don’t give any inaccurate information

5. Do you know about your Fee structure?

A) What to say :

i) You must know the exact fees you are going to pay for the whole course.

ii) You must know about the living expense

iii Do study there website and cross-check with your career counselor

B) What not to say :

i) Don’t give wrong figures or approx. figures.

6. Will you be able to manage the finances?

A) What to say :

i) Your parents/ guardian is sponsoring your education

ii) During your job, You have been saving money for this course

B) What not to say :

i) You will earn money in Canada to manage your fees and living expense

7. They will ask you about your stay

A) What to say :

i) some universities/ colleges have a policy of compulsory stay for at least one semester. Make it a point while discussing to show that you have read the policies.

B) What not to say :

ii) I will find a place when I reach there

8. What communities/Clubs in university/ college interests you?

A) What to say :

i) Do checkout for the clubs and other social events of the institution from Blogs or youtube

B) What not to say :

i) Don’t be blank about it as it gives a bad impression and unpreparedness.

9. Why did you chose this course?

A) What to say :

i) Prepare this Question well and relate it to your previous qualification somehow. Show that your interests and hobbies relate to the course

B) What not to say :

i) My agent told me about this.

ii) This course is in demand and I will get help in getting PR after this course

10. What are your expectations from the program?

A) What to say :

i) Talk about your skills getting improved.

ii) Getting a chance to explore more dynamics and get international exposure which will help you in your career

B) What not to say :

i) The course should be easy and I should get time for working and earning dollars

ii) This course will help me in getting PR

11. What are your Strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths:

A) What to say :

i) Talk about your situation handling skills,

ii) Capabilities as a team member,

iii) Opportunity exploring zeal.

iV) Time management skills.

V) Capability to complete projects within the time frame

B) What not to say :

i) Avoid saying general terms like Hardworking, confidence, smart, etc.

Weaknesses:

A) What to say :

i) Talk about those things which can be ignored: like extra spending, getting lazy sometimes, you like to take breaks while working for a long duration.

B) What not to say :

i) Avoid talking about any weaknesses which may hamper your course. Such as you get bored from things very easily, you are short-tempered, etc.

12. Future goals — Short & Long terms after completing your course.

Short term goals should be focused on the next 3 to 5 years like- further studies or looking for a suitable job in your field of study

Long term goals should be focused on the next 10 years like- Running a business/company which is related to your field of study or working on an important post in a good company in your field of study

13. Challenges faced during the academic year and professional life

i) Share real-time instances that you faced. One from each specter. But make sure these are positive challenges in which you did well. For instance: An event was organized in your college and you were part of the organizing team. Explain the problems faced and how you tackled them.

14. What is the biggest challenge you can face in our college if you get admission

You can say that you might face difficulty initially as the whole environment will be new. But your adjusting nature with surely help in it.

15. Do you have any questions?

This is going to be the last question.

i) You can ask anything which should be course-related

B) What not to say:

i) Avoid questions about finances.

i) Avoid talking about part-time job opportunities
